49ers fear for Purdy, Eagles attack again

The San Francisco 49ers need a fit and capable quarterback to play to the squad’s full potential. But is that Brock Purdy? Philadelphia is getting ready for another title run.
San Francisco 49ers
Strengths
Once again there is rotation on the 49ers coaching staff, simply because Kyle Shanahan’s team is too good. Together with Shanahan, the experienced Chris Foerster will be responsible for the O-Line and the run game in the future. The Kubiak brothers are also starting and will be responsible for the QBs and the passing game, among other things. Probably the most exciting player profile is and remains Mr.Irrelevant, Brock Purdy. 2023 will show how much of his exceptional performances from last season are truly sustainable. Behind the 23-year-old, Trey Lance and Sam Darnold are lurking for their chance. Basically, not a bad starting situation. If Purdy stays healthy, anything is possible with Shanahan, as always. There continues to be no way around the centerpiece of the offense, Christian McCaffrey. The depth on offense is tremendous, whether at running back or wide receiver. George Kittle, Deebo Samuel or Brandon Aiyuk: In San Francisco, star players meet promising talents. Another plus is that the franchise has the easiest schedule in the NFC West.
Weaknesses
Track, track, track. The 49ers have to travel the second most miles in the league, plus all sorts of roster changes. They botched the draft badly, bringing in players who were too expensive and overloading the secondary. Still, there should be no shortage of back-ups. Without question, the most painful departure was that of defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans. Purdy’s elbow injury also raises questions despite good rehab progress: Will the QB be ready in time for the season opener?
Motto of the season: If Purdy ignites a second time and stays healthy, the title is within reach. This coach and this team deserved a ring a long time ago
Philadelphia Eagles
Strenghts
The most important building block was already secured in April: Jalen Hurts stays for another five years and signed an absolute mega contract. Center Jason Kelce was also kept and cornerback Darius Slay got a new contract. D’Andre Swift and Rashaad Penny strengthened the run game – all in all the front office was very busy this offseason. In the draft they invested mostly in the defense, tackle Jalen Carter will most likely make a difference right away. Sean Desai also doesn’t have to worry about depth in the secondary anymore. If Hurts gets even better in the passing game, the Eagles should be able to play up front again.
Weaknesses
The competition in the NFC has become stronger, and even in their own division, the Cowboys and Giants have stepped up their game, at least on paper. Apart from the increased pressure on the players, however, there is no real weakness in the squad.
Motto of the season: The roster is packed with A-list pros, only the players are even more experienced than they were in 2022. Watch out, the Eagles are on the attack again.
