Tip Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers
Find out if the Cardinals can surprise again this week in our tip Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers.
In the NFC West showdown, the roles seemed quite clear until a week ago, but now it’s not quite so clear anymore, is it?
Most experts had little or no confidence in the Cardinals this season. “Tanking for Caleb Williams” was the motto relatively quickly, but there can hardly be any talk of that after three days of play. Already at the beginning of the season, the Cards gave the Commanders and Giants a tough fight and lost only very narrowly.
On the last game day there was a completely unexpected victory against the Cowboys. Imagine if the Cardinals had held on to their leads against the Commanders and Giants. They would now have a record of 3-0 wins.
It really is a team of the nameless led by Joshua Dobbs. James Conner is also playing very solid and the defense is not falling off here either. Now, however, the toughest test to date is on the agenda.
The opponent is none other than the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers have scored exactly 30 points in every game so far, which means Arizona will have to score more to beat this machine, which brings us to the problem. Not only the offense around Purdy, Debo, Kittle, Ayiuk, McCaffrey etc. is probably the best the league has to offer, but also the defense hasn’t dropped an inch compared to last season.
So far, it’s really hard to pinpoint a weak spot for the 49ers. If at all the secondary but whether Dobbs can attack them I dare to doubt.
We have huge respect for the Cardinals’ performance so far. Many experts here also believe that they can keep the game reasonably close. Unfortunately, we don’t see that at all. The 49ers are playing at home, have had a few more days off than the Cardinals, and are by far the better team.
We therefore believe in a crystal-clear home victory for Purdy and Co.
