On this page we will bring you closer to the topic of sports betting. The first question that might arise could be, what a sports betting provider actually is?
In the past, the term sports betting provider was often referred to “bookmaker” and even today many experts still refer to the name bookmaker or simply “bookie”.
What is a sports betting provider?
With sports betting providers, as the name suggests, you can place bets on a wide variety of sporting events. Until a few years ago, you had to go to a betting shop that seemed rather unfriendly, but in the age of the Internet you can now find numerous online providers. Easy wherever you are. There you will find already established providers but there are also some black sheep.
Of course, we will present exclusively authorized bookmaker in Germany.
Serious and safe bookmakers always have a valid and active license that allows them to offer sports betting. Most licenses for a betting provider come from Malta or Gibraltar, partly also from Great Britain and in some cases also from Germany. Therefore you always find transparent and open information about the EU license and regulation of the bookmaker on the relevant website
How does sports betting work?
Well first of all you have to find the right “bookie” for you. There, the providers differ in things like design, product, odds, versatility, etc.. Of course we will try to find out the right bookie for you. As soon as you have decided, you have to register on the respective pages and deposit money using a variety of methods via the deposit button. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be directed to various site with numerous sporting events. Here you can choose for example between the date of the event, sport or country.
Let’s take this example (see picture) out. You can see the game between Manchester United and Basel, among other things.. At the top you see a „1“, an „x“ and a „2“. The „1“ stands for a home win with a quote of 1,15. So you would get profit of a quote of 1,15 if Manchester wins. For example, if you bet €10 on this odds of 1.15, you would have 11.15 on the bank if Manchester won. The x stands for a draw and the 2 stands for an away win. The rule is always the same here. If there was a tie, you would get 75 for your €10 bet.
This type of betting is also called „win/draw/win“ and it’s the most famous one in Germany.
On the right side you see some numbers like 81 or, to stay in our example of Manchester City against Basel the number of 100.
This simply means that you can bet on 100 other situations in addition to the winner in this respective game. Among other things, you can bet on the 1st goalscorer, etc.. The number of these different bets depends on the respective provider and often, the same bets having different quotes. So it is always important to compare the sports betting providers with each other.
If a bet were won, the money would normally be credited within 30 minutes after the end of the game.
